There are three Bible Hymnal CD Collections available: the CHORAL version, the PIANO version, and the CHORAL Audio version.
The CHORAL version has 74 of the hymns from the Bible Hymnal for a total of 2.5 hours of music. Members of the Young Ambassadors, the Ambassador Chorale, the Pasadena Church Choir and the church choirs of Long Beach, Glendora, Reseda, Los Angeles and Garden Grove are the performers. These performers were under the direction of John D. Schroeder and Ross Jutsum. Accompaniment was performed on the "Rubinstein" Hamburg Steinway by Ross Justum. Recording was at the Ambassador Auditorium, Pasadena, California.
The PIANO version has all 125 of the hymns from the Bible Hymnal for a total of 4.5 hours of music. Accompaniment was performed on the "Rubinstein" Hamburg Steinway by Ross Justum. Recording was at the Ambassador Auditorium, Pasadena, California.
All of the Bible Hymnal music is on ONE CD in Real Audio format. To listen to this CD you will need a computer program from Real Media. The Windows version of this program is saved on the CD; Macintosh users need to download the program from www.real.com. See the README.TXT file on the CD for more details.
This CD was created by converting the cassette tape version of each collection. Some of the tapes have deteriorated since they were published by the Church over 10 years ago. Every attempt was made to clean up the sound files, but some noise could not be removed. These CD's have a much longer useful life, and can be played thousands of times without wearing out the CD. So, at least, the music will not deteriorate any further.
The third collection is the CHORAL Audio version which can be played on any regular CD player. There are four CDs in this collection.
