This CD contains the largest single collection known of The Church of God News published during the years 1961-1966. This publication was the predecessor publication to The Worldwide News newspaper that started in April 1973 and contained news of regional and local congregational events.

This CD contains copies of the Big Sandy edition (1962, 1966) of The Church of God News, as well as the Chicago/Midwest edition (1961-66), the Los Angeles edition (1963-64) and the Pasadena edition (1963-66). This CD contains 77 editions and over 450 pages in total!

If anyone has additional editions of The Church of God News that are not included on this CD, please contact the HWA Library if you are willing to donate, loan or sell your issues. We will gladly pay for them as funds permit so that all those interested in the history of the Church at the local and regional levels can have affordable access to this information.

The images on this disk are similar to having your own photo-copies of these issues. These images are stored in TIF4 format, a format that should be readable by many graphic programs. You may then read the image on your screen or print it on your ink jet or laser printer. Each image is saved at 300 dpi for quality reproduction.

Most Windows users will not have to add any additional software to view these files if you are using Windows95B or later because Microsoft includes a free Imaging program with all versions of Windows starting with Windows95B. In case you do need to add additional software to view these images, this CD contains several popular Windows graphics programs that can read the TIF4 files on this CD.
