This CD contains images of all the remaining known Plain Truth magazines published from 1934 to 1960, over 2500 pages! In addition, this CD contains all the known articles authored by Mr. Herbert W. Armstrong for the Bible Advocate magazine in 1928.During the period of 1934 - 1960, records indicate 137 issues of the Plain Truth were published. The issues that have survived, being preserved by the AC Library, total 131, or about 95 percent of the issues published. All 131 of the surviving issues are contained on this CD. The missing six issues are:
In addition, only partial editions survived of the following issues:
- March 1934
- April 1934
- January 1938
- June 1939
- May 1940, and
- December 1944
In gathering these issues from the AC Library, one of the staff members mentioned that in the early 1950's the Library attempted to find the missing issues by contacting some of the earliest members in the Church. The missing issues were never located. Therefore, they are probably lost to the history of the Church of God.

Some of these issues have only survived as photocopies, so some of the images on this CD are faded, torn or damaged.
The images on this disk are similar to having your own photo-copies of these issues. These images are stored in Huffman-compressed TIF format, a format that should be readable by many graphic programs. You may then read the image on your screen or print it on your ink jet or laser printer. Each image is saved at 300 dpi for quality reproduction.
In case your graphics program can not read these files, this CD contains a popular Windows graphics program named Paint Shop Pro that can read the Huffman-compressed TIF files on this CD.
The "TIF" images on this CD are not "searchable". Therefore, to assist you in locating an article of interest, an index of all the Plain Truth articles from 1934 - 1994, all the Good News articles from 1951 - 1990, and all the Tomorrow's World articles from 1969 - 1972 is also located on this CD. This index lists all the articles in subject order to help you locate an article on a particular subject. Open the index in a compatible program of your choice and search for an article of interest. If that article was published in the Plain Truth from 1934-1960, then you will find it on this CD. If not, then it will hopefully be available in your Church library, your personal library, a friend's library, or on a future CD as they are available.
