This CD contains 80 radio broadcasts and 2 television broadcasts of The World Tomorrow program by Herbert W. Armstrong. This is over 40 hours of multi-media broadcasts! All of these broadcasts are saved in a special format that requires the use of a program made by Real Media. All the broadcast files are compatible with both Windows and Macintosh, but only the Windows version of the RealMedia program is located on this CD. Macintosh users can download a free Macintosh version of the Real Media player from RealMedia. Your computer will also need a sound card to be able to hear these broadcasts.
Before you can begin to hear and see the broadcasts on this CD, you must do two things:
1) have an internet browser installed. You will not need to be connected to the internet to use this CD, but an index of these files is contained in the file INDEX.HTM, and to use this index file, you must use an internet browser. Netscape's free Navigator internet browser is located on this CD for your convenience.
2) You need to install the free Real Media Player software. The Windows version is located on this CD. Macintosh users will need to download the file directly from RealMedia, and Windows users might want to check this site for a more current version.
Once your Real Media player is installed, open your internet browser and open the INDEX.HTM file located on this CD. Your Real Media player will automatically start playing the file when you activate the hyperlink.
These broadcasts were converted from cassette and video tapes of the broadcasts made directly from a live broadcast over radio or television. Therefore, the quality of each broadcast varies. In some cases, the signal is weaker than other times. And in some cases the first few seconds of the broadcast were not recorded due to the recording starting after the broadcast began. You may have to adjust the volume on your speakers to compensate for these variations.
